Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up at Thursday open
BIST 100 index gains over 9.6 points from previous close
Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,574.58 points on Thursday, up 0.62% or 9.64 points from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index was up 1.02% to end Wednesday at 1,564.94 points, with a daily trading volume of 26.4 billion Turkish liras (nearly $3.5 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 7.4900 as of 9:30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), from 7.5360 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 8.9290, down from 8.9750, while one British pound traded for 10.3500 Turkish liras, dropping from 10.4400.
