Country's exports up by 1.9%, while imports drop by 0.6%, year-on-year in April

Germany's trade surplus at $24B in April

ISTANBUL

Germany's foreign trade balance posted a surplus of €22.1 billion ($24 billion) in April, the federal statistical authority Destatis revealed on Friday.

The country's exports totaled €136.5 billion, up by 1.9%, and imports amounted to €114.5 billion, down by 0.6%, year-on-year in April.

Germany's exports were at €74.1 billion to the EU members in April 2024, while it imported goods worth €61.3 billion from these countries.

Meanwhile, the country's exports to non-EU countries amounted to €62.4 billion in April, and imports from them totaled €53.2 billion.

Germany's exports to Russia dropped by 10.5% to €700 million year-on-year in April 2024, and its imports from Russia dropped by 43.1% to €200 million.
