Italy's FTSE MIB performs worst, falling 0.6%

European exchanges close mixed

ISTANBUL

European stocks closed Tuesday on a mixed note.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 1.39 points, or 0.29%, to 488.44.

The UK's FTSE 100 rose 18 points, or 0.23%, to 8,026 and Germany's DAX added 15 points, or 0.09%, to finish the session at 17,354.

France's CAC 40, on the other hand, lost almost 19 points, or 0.27%, to close at 7,130.

Spain's IBEX 35 declined 32 points, or 0.32%, to 10,390.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the worst performer of the day, falling 186 points, or 0.6%, to end the day at 31,107.
