ANKARA
Stock exchanges in Asia closed Monday with mixed figures to kick off 2022.
The Asia Dow, which includes blue-chip companies in the region, was flat to close at 3,774 points.
Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 stock exchange was down 115 points, or 0.4%, to 28,791.
The Hang Seng, the benchmark for blue-chip stocks trading on the Hong Kong stock exchange, fell almost 123 points, or 0.53%, to 23,274.
China’s Shanghai stock exchange, on the other hand, rose 20 points, or 0.57%, to 3,639 points.
The Indian Sensex benchmark increased 929 points, or 1.6%, to 59,183 points, while the Singapore index added 10 points, or 0.34%, to 3,134.
