- Demi Lovato to perform in Istanbul
American 20-year-old pop singer-songwriter Demi Lovato will take to the stage on Sunday in Istanbul’s Ulker Sports Arena as a part of a world tour to promote her latest album ‘Demi’.
A single from the album – ‘Heart attack’ – hit the music charts in May 2013.
Lovato rose to fame through a television film “Camp Rock” on the Disney Channel in 2008; Lovato released her debut album ‘Don’t Forget’ same year.
She has continued starring in television series and releasing music albums. Shortly after her debut album, she released her second record ‘Here We Go Again’, reaching number one in the U.S. Billboard 200.

- Turkish pop singer Cem Adrian to perform in Istanbul
Turkish performer Cem Adrian will appear at the Jolly Joker in Istanbul on Saturday.
Best known for his unique voice which ranges from bass to soprano, Adrian released his first album ‘Ben Bu Sarkiyi Sana Yazdim – I Wrote This Song To You’ in February 2005.

- Contemporary Istanbul to open its doors
‘Contemporary Istanbul’, Turkey’s leading international art fair, opens on Thursday and will close three days later on Sunday.
The event has brought together over 100 galleries and 520 artists from 23 countries in its ninth edition from November 13 to 16.
While the fair includes galleries from different parts of the world, it also brings artists and audiences together to discuss and share their latest works.

- Immortal still-life paintings exhibition
Turkish still-life artist Abit Guner’s exhibition can be seen until December 8 at Gallery Idil in Istanbul’s Levent neighborhood.
Entitled ‘Immortal still-life paintings’ the display includes the 67-year-old artist’s works where he mostly depicts the landscapes of his hometown.
Guner was born in 1947 in Turkey’s northeastern province, Trabzon. He lived in Germany between 1972 and 1998 where studied painting.

- Pera Museum to screen Polish director Agniezska Holland’s films
Istanbul’s Pera Museum is set to launch a film program on Wednesday entitled ‘Darkness Remains Dark’ to celebrate the work of Agniezska Holland, known for her politicized movies in the Polish New Wave of cinema.
The museum states that the four films presented in ‘Darkness Remains Dark’ will examine themes such as heroism, sacrifice, suffering and the “banality of goodness crushed by an omnipresent and invisible despotism or the hand of fate.”
The event is organized as a part of a cultural program to mark 600 years of Turkish-Polish diplomatic relations.
The four films can be seen until December 6.

- “Dumb and Dumber To” hits Turkish movie theaters
New American comedy ‘Dumb and Dumber to’ will hit Turkish theaters on Friday.
The sequel was directed by Bob and Peter Farrelly and stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, who reprise their roles as idiotic duo Lloyd and Harry.
The film tells the story of Harry and Lloyd’s struggle to find Harry's daughter who was adopted after their first adventure 20 years ago.
