Turkish firm Karmod completes container facilities for Romania highway construction
‘We continue to serve the world's leading projects with our construction site structures,’ says Karmod’s foreign trade manager

ISTANBUL
Turkish company Karmod has built container-based construction site facilities for use in a major highway project in Romania.
According to a statement from the building manufacturer, the project’s entire on-site needs, from offices to dormitories, were met with seven separate container blocks completed near the city of Brasov in central Romania.
Muzaffer Dogrul Erguclu, Karmod's foreign trade manager, said container site structures were chosen for the high-budget highway project in Romania’s transportation sector.
“We continue to serve the world's leading projects with our construction site structures. The positive impressions created by the ergonomic use of our container structures increase the preference for Karmod buildings in the construction sites of large projects.”
Erguclu noted that container structures were specifically preferred for the highway project, which includes 65 viaducts, bridges and passages, and that this was their second site facility in the country after one completed in February.
He said the seven-block facility in Brasov was built with fast production and installation, meeting needs from offices to dining halls.
"The construction group we built as part of the project included offices, a cafeteria, dormitories, a guesthouse, a laundry room, and all other structures that might be needed on a construction site,” he said.
According to Erguclu, the administrative section consisted of two separate office buildings — a two-story, 792-square-meter facility for project management and a two-story, 230-square-meter building for highway consultants.
The dormitory was built as a two-story facility, while the cafeteria was a single-story structure, he said.
