Representing The Anadolu Agency, Ogun Duru, AA’s Foreign News Editor commented: "Cooperation among news agencies is of vital importance in the digital age, as this will enable us to obtain reliable news as quickly as possible. Agencies, which are superior at reporting in their own regions due to local advantages, can help each other through effective collaboration."
The Anadolu Agency cooperates with more than 60 national and international news agencies. AA continues to renew and to strengthen its bilateral and multilateral cooperation agreements in order to make them more effective, Duru explained.
Alexandru Ion Giboi, head of Romania’s Agerpress, said news agencies are still the most important news source worldwide and it is important to strengthen cooperation among news agencies.
The 8th annual meeting of the organization will be chaired by Armenia’s ARMENPRESS.
Founded on 2006, at the initiative of Ukraine, The Black Sea Association of National News Agencies aims to develop cooperation and to strengthen the ties between neighboring agencies.
