ANKARA
Anadolu Agency's fourth intensive War Journalism Certificate training programme, conducted by AA News Academy and Turkish Police Academy, continues.
As part of the programme, the courses continue to be taught under 25 titles including journalism, personal security, the law of war, first aid, advanced driving techniques, surviving in water, route setting, explosives, chemical and biological attacks and media management in extraordinary circumstances.
Theoretical and practical courses are being given by the Police Academy and the Turkish armed forces personnel in Ankara. The programme differs from other training programmes in terms of duration, theoretical and practical course hours. AA’s training includes developing skills for advanced driving techniques, surviving in the water and in dangerous situations, which involve weapons and explosives. The participants have even experienced grenade smoke and tear gas.
Anadolu Agency News Academy aims to provide a world standard certification programme, acting with the awareness of being a global brand, in line with local and international educational demands. The War Journalism program last for 11 days. This includes 82 hours of training, 42 of which will be practical.
In addition, the AA trainers who are currently working in AA learned methods of natural disaster survival techniques from the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD).
Anadolu Agency Director-General and Board Chairman Kemal Ozturk also gave information about media management in emergency situations and the working principles of AA.
The certificate programme will run until September 19. At the end of the program internationally recognized certificates will be given to successful participants.
