AA agrees photo deal with Japan's Jiji Press
Agreement will pave way for global recognition of Anadolu Agency's photos in the Far East

ANKARA
The Anadolu Agency has signed a new agreement with leading Japanese agency Jiji Press on the distribution of photographs in a bid to increase global coverage in the Far East.
The agency began marketing its photos globally following an agreement with Getty Images in March, which came after AA made agreements with other leading photo agencies such as AFP ImageForum, DPA, Scanpix, Contacto and VI Images.
The Tokyo-based and privately-run Jiji Press, which has 140 newspaper and television channel networks in Japan, will broadcast the agency's photographs with the AA logo in key media organizations in the Far East.
Yilmaz Yaman, the agency's acting deputy director general, said: "This agreement will promote the recognition of the AA brand in the region and is a big gain for the agency and Turkey."
AA is already a well-established global news agency offering newswires in eight languages with operations spreading across major regions around the globe, including the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Asia-Pacific.
It serves business customers in more than 100 countries.
The agency also has Turkey’s largest photo archive containing more than two million photographs and continues to add old negative films to it.
