Turkish parliament speaker visits Kyrgyz writer’s grave

BISHKEK

Turkish parliament speaker visited the grave of the famous Kyrgyz novelist Chinghiz Aitmatov in the capital Bishkek on Friday.

Binali Yildirim, who has been paying an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, laid flowers at the tombs of Aitmatov and Kyrgyz intellectuals killed by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin regime.

On Thursday, Yildirim met with his Kyrgyz counterpart Dastanbek Djumabekov at the parliament in Bishkek.

The parliament speaker is later to leave for Tehran to have talks with Iranian officials, including his Iranian counterpart Ali Larijani.
