Top Chinese and British military officials discussed ties Wednesday in Beijing, according to the Chinese Defense Ministry, as reported by the Global Times.
UK Chief of the Defense Staff Admiral Sir Tony Radakin held discussions with Liu Zhenli from China's Central Military Commission (CMC), along with the head of the CMC Joint Staff Department.
The two sides shared perspectives on relations, military ties, international and regional security issues, and matters of mutual interest.
The officials also discussed ways to strengthen military exchanges and cooperation between Beijing and London.
The most recent defense strategy consultations between the British and Chinese militaries took place in China on Sept. 25, where both sides discussed defense relations, according to a statement on the Chinese Defense Ministry website.
