Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed a desire Wednesday to improve relations with Azerbaijan.

Bosnia’s Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers Borjana Kristo visited Sarajevo and met Azerbaijan's Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov one day before Azerbaijan President İlham Aliyev visits the capital city Thursday.

Kristo said Bosnia has very good relations with Azerbaijan and he hopes those relations will become stronger.

"While the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Azerbaijan continue at a very good level, there is no problem between the two countries. This is important for the strengthening of relations in the future." said a statement.

Bosnia and Herzegovina's European Union integration process and economic investments from Azerbaijan were discussed during the meeting.

It was reported that Jabbarov expressed Azerbaijan's desire to improve economic relations with Bosnia.

Serbia hosted Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in November in Belgrade, where opportunities for cooperation in natural gas and electricity were discussed.

Previously, Serbia expressed a desire to connect to the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline or the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline.
