8 missing after mudslide hits village in southern China

ANKARA
At least eight people are suspected to be missing after a mountain torrent and mudslide struck a village in southern China early Friday, according to state-run media.
The incident occurred in Guilin city in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Xinhua News Agency reported.
Ten houses were damaged.
Rescue efforts are underway in the area.
