5.6 magnitude earthquake jolts Japan
No casualties or damage reported

ANKARA
A magnitude 5.6 earthquake struck Japan early Friday, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
The epicenter of the quake, which occurred at 6.28 am local time (2128GMT Thursday), was located near the coast of Hokkaido at a depth of 50 kilometers (31 miles), Kyodo News agency reported.
No casualties or damage was reported, while no tsunami warning has been issued.
