6.9 magnitude earthquake near remote Australian island

ANKARA
A 6.9 magnitude earthquake was recorded near Australia and New Zealand on Thursday, triggering a tsunami warning.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the earthquake struck the Macquarie Island region in the southern Pacific Ocean.
There were no reports of casualties or any damage in the quake, which had a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles).
