5.5 magnitude earthquake strikes southwestern Pakistan
Tremor occurs northeast of Khuzdar area of southwestern Balochistan province

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck the Balochistan province of southwestern Pakistan on Friday, according to the US Geological Survey.
The quake struck an area 79 kilometers (49 miles) northeast of Khuzdar at 0630GTM. The quake occurred at a shallow depth of 10 km (6.21 mi).
There were no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage.
