1 dead after Panama freighter collides with Chinese boat

ANKARA 

At least one person was killed and two others remain missing after a Panamanian freighter collided with a Chinese fishing boat, a Chinese public broadcaster reported on Thursday.

According to CGTN, the Chinese fishing boat sank off the Zhoushan port in the country’s eastern Zhejiang province on Wednesday evening.

Around seven people were on board the fishing vessel.

Four people have been rescued while a search operation is ongoing for the remaining two.
