US forces have strengthened their presence in the areas controlled by the YPG/PKK terrorist group in northeastern Syria, according to local sources on Monday.
More than 100 vehicles headed to the US military bases in Al-Hasakah province in the past three days only, the sources told Anadolu Agency.
The sources stated that the vehicles came from Iraq in several convoys, comprising of military vehicles and others loaded with military supplies.
The US military supplies entered from Iraq through the Al-Waleed border crossing on January 6 and 8, the sources said.
In October 2019, during Türkiye’s Operation Peace Spring, US forces withdrew from the area to reinforce their presence around the oil wells in northeastern Syria.
