Tunisia: Nominations begin for presidential election
Candidates running for presidency are allowed to file nominations from Aug 2-9

Nominations for presidential election in Tunisia, scheduled on Sept 15 began on Friday.
A number of politicians began to file their nominations.
On Tuesday, the North African country's electoral body announced the schedule for presidential elections.
While the campaigning period will be from Sept 2-13, the results of the vote will be announced two days after the polls.
Candidates running for the presidency are allowed to file their nominations from Aug 2-9.
On July 25, Mohamed Ennaceur, Speaker of the Tunisian Parliament, became the country's interim president, succeeding Beji Caid Essebsi who died at the age of 92.
