Kenya: Crocodile kills World Food Program official

NAIROBI, Kenya 

A World Food Program official was killed by a crocodile in Kenya's Lake Turkana on Thursday, local media reported. 

David Mburukuwa, a local police officer, said the incident took place at Christine's Camp site in Lake Turkana, where the crocodile singled out the woman, who was in a group of people swimming along the lake’s shores.

He said police and Kenya Wildlife Service personnel were on the ground to retrieve the body and to ascertain the circumstances under which the incident happened.
