Anadolu Agency on Tuesday will launch the "Grand Africa Project" in an extensive effort to cover 11 African countries.

The project -- which includes nearly 150 stories, complete with thousands of photographs and video footage -- aims to inspire a new perception of the world's youngest continent with fresh human interest stories and analyses.

Twenty-one Anadolu Agency reporters traveled to Guinea, Kenya, Libya, Mali, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, and Tanzania, where they teamed up with nearly 30 local journalists to tell a story together.

The project explores profound, first-hand experiences of a colonial past, while highlighting success stories and unique perspectives that portend a new trajectory for the future.

The Grand Africa Project contains interviews with both community leaders and government representatives, as well as op-eds by Turkish intellectuals on the economy, politics and social dynamics of Africa.

As Ankara looks to enhance relations throughout the continent, the project also looks into how Turkish entrepreneurs and investors can navigate challenges and make a positive impact.

It further sheds light on efforts on the ground by organizations such as Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Turkish Red Crescent, and Yunus Emre Institute -- as NGOs and state-funded agencies seek to deliver change to people's lives.

The Grand Africa Project will devote a week to explore each of the eleven countries, starting with Tanzania.
