Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv’s negotiators delivered a detailed briefing after their meetings in the US, noting that the sides worked on a refined version of the Geneva document while discussing frontline security, ceasefire risks, and diplomatic coordination with Washington and European partners.

The Ukrainian president also said that Ukrainian delegation head Rustem Umerov and other delegation members reported on the key points raised by the American side during talks in Florida, adding that “the work was based on the Geneva document, and that document has been refined.”

He thanked Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov for giving the US side “a very substantive briefing” on the situation at the front.

With intelligence involvement, the discussions addressed “the feasibility of various steps on the front line,” protection from Russian strikes, and the risk of violations if a ceasefire is reached.

Zelenskyy said Ukrainian diplomats are working to secure strong engagement from European countries and other participants in the Coalition of the Willing.

He briefed his team on his recent talks with European leaders and with US Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff in Paris.

Russia has “already launched new disinformation campaigns” ahead of its planned meetings with the US, according to Zelenskyy.

“I gave instructions to continue the most constructive work possible with President Trump’s team, as well as with our European partners,” he said, adding that Ukrainian intelligence will share all available information on Russia’s intentions and alleged attempts to use diplomacy to weaken sanctions or obstruct European decisions.

Ukraine, he emphasized, approaches diplomatic efforts with “utmost seriousness,” aiming for “real peace and guaranteed security.”

He said similar commitment “must be compelled from the Russian side,” which he noted is possible only through joint efforts with partners.

The secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council will remain in continuous contact with the US to coordinate the schedule of upcoming meetings.
