US President Obama meets King Salman in Saudi capital

Both leaders held talks to discuss bilateral relations and developments in the Middle East, including countering terrorism

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz received U.S. President Barack Obama in Riyadh on Wednesday, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

SPA said both leaders held a meeting to discuss bilateral relations and recent developments in the Middle East, including countering terrorism.

This is the third meeting between Obama and King Salman in 16 months.

Obama is scheduled to take part in a meeting with leaders of the Gulf states on Thursday in the Saudi capital.
