WASHINGTON

Four people are dead in a shooting in Harford County, Maryland, local authorities said Thursday.

Snochia Moseley, 26, a temporary worker, shot six people -- killing three and injuring three others -- at a Rite-Aid distribution center before killing herself.

Moseley was last known to reside in Baltimore county, according to the sheriff's office. No motive was given.

The company released a statement that said it was “deeply saddened by the events” and it is working “closely with authorities” on the investigation.

"At 9:06 a.m. [1306 GMT] a report was received for shots fired at the Rite Aid distribution center," Harford County Sheriff Jeff Gahler said at a news conference.

Law enforcement did not fire any shots on the scene.

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan called the shooting "horrific" and was closely monitoring the situation.

"The First Lady and I are grieving for the loss of life in today's shooting in Harford County and praying that those who were injured fully recover," Hogan said on Twitter.

The FBI Baltimore office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted Harford County authorities with the situation.

The shooting is the third within a 24-hour period across the nation.

Early Wednesday, there was a shooting at a software company in Wisconsin.

Another shooting at a municipal building in Pennsylvania left the shooter dead and four others injured.

In June, a gunman attacked a newspaper office in Annapolis, Maryland, killing five people.
