United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) protested Israel for violating the Lebanese air space several times in the past week.
According to a statement released by UNIFIL, Israel's violation of Lebanese air space was against the sovereignty of Lebanon and UN Security Council's resolution no. 1701.
The UN peacekeeping force in Lebanon protested Israel after its escalating violations of Lebanese air space as Israel carried out raids in Syria.
UNIFIL added that they were aware of the concerns of Lebanese government about the issue, and accordingly Israeli officials were warned and asked to end air space violations.
Lebanon's Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour earlier said that Israeli warplanes repeatedly violated Lebanese air space, carried out low altitude flights over border villages and towns.
