Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday expressed his gratitude to Denmark for its recent pledge to donate F-16 jets to Kyiv in its ongoing war against Russia.

"Thank you, Denmark, for your solidarity," Zelenskyy said in his speech to the Danish parliament in Copenhagen. “Thank you for your help, all the help provided to Ukraine, thank you for harpoons. Russia is afraid, thank you.”

Zelenskyy said if Russia wins the war, the rest of Europe will be in danger.

“All of Russia’s neighbors are under threat if Ukraine does not prevail,” Zelenskyy said, adding that “international law will not be resuscitated. Democracies of the world, each of them can be a target either for missiles or for mercenaries or for destabilization.”

The Ukrainian president said the country is now transitioning from Javelins and Stingers to Patriots and F-16s.

“There was a time when they said this would never happen, when they said we shouldn’t fight, when they didn’t believe in us, didn’t believe in you, didn’t believe in people, and said it was easier to freeze the desire to live,” he added.
