BERLIN
The former prime minister of Ukraine, who was released from prison on February 22, will go to Germany for treatment upon German Chancellor Angela Merkel's invitation, according to German media outlets.
The Batkivshchyna Party announced on Monday that ex-PM Yulia Tymoshenko had accepted Merkel’s invitation for treatment for a back problem in Berlin’s Charite Hospital in March.
Tymoshenko will go to Berlin for treatment after attending a meeting of the European People’s Party on March 6-7.
The 53-year-old previously was examined by a team of health experts from Charite hospital in prison.
