Turkish FM meets US senators in Washington

WASHINGTON

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu met Wednesday with U.S. senators in Washington on the sidelines of meetings with the foreign ministers of members of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, another name for Daesh.

Cavusoglu gathered with Foreign Relations Committee Chairman James E. Risch, Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Senators Roy Blunt of Missouri and Chris Van Hollen of Maryland.

According to diplomatic sources, Cavusoglu discussed Turkish-American relations with the senators during the “very affirmative” meetings.
