Turkey sent 10 athletes to the 14th IAAF World Athletics Championships and three Turkish athletes will compete on the first day events on Saturday in Moscow.
The organization of International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) of 14th World Athletics Championships which has just started on August 10 will continue till August 18 in Russian capital Moscow.
Having the most rating after Olympiad, the championships has included best 1,974 athletes of world, who will compete in 26 branches, in men with 1,106 athletes and in women with 868 athletes.
Turkey has sent 10 athletes to the championships and 5 of them are women.
On Saturday, in women marathon, Sultan Haydar and Ummu Kiraz will compete for Turkey, while Polat Kemboi Arikan of Turkey will run in men's 10,000 metres.
The championships takes place at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium.
