Syrian Turks are calling for help against the starvation risk rising with the winter.
General Coordinator Nidal Molla of Syrian Turks Association told AA on Tuesday that the starvation risk in Bayirbucak region of Syria's Latakia city was increasing, adding that more than half of the people were trying to survive by eating only one meal a day.
Noting that the incidents in Syria had been continuing for almost two years, Molla said that many regions did not have connection with city centers and safe roads, adding that the condition in Bayirbucak region was getting more difficult each day due to winter.
We have been informed that people are run out of stocks in Bayirbucak Turkmen (Turkoman) region, said Molla.
Despite the ongoing humanitarian aid of Turkish Red Crescent, the number of people, who escaped from inner parts of Syria and have been waiting near Turkish border, is increasing, said Molla, adding that currently there were nearly 30,000 people in that region.
