KARACHI
The charred bodies of seven airport workers were found in the cargo area of Pakistan's Karachi's international airport, provincial health minister Dr. Sagheer Ahmed announced Tuesday.
There is still one person missing, a security officer, in the aftermath of Sunday night's Taliban attack. The discovery of the seven bodies brings the total death toll to 39, including 10 militants.
The worried families of missing airport employees had protested against a lack of information from authorities, blocking the city's main highway by burning tyres on Monday.
Ten heavily-armed militants of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, the mother group of different Taliban networks operating in Pakistan, raided the airport on Sunday night, killing 29 and injuring 25.
