WASHINGTON
The Rumi Forum, an international think tank organization which contributes into intercultural dialogue, has presented its annual "Peace and Dialougue Awards" at National Press Club Ballroom in Washington on Wednesday.
Speaking at the ceremony, Peter Kovach, a member of the Rumi forum advisory committee, stressed that Turkey is an impressive country with its deep history and conformable and modern vision of Islam. Another member of the committee, David Newton, stated that many of the Muslim people are on the side of the peace.
Turkish Ambassador in Washington Namik Tan attended the ceremony as well.
