SANA'A
A group of protestors who gathered in front of the U.S. Embasy in Yemen's Sana'a to show their reaction against the anti-Islam film "Innocence of Muslims" attempted to enter the embassy building on Thursday.
In the scope of protest against the anti-Islam film in Sana'a, clashes between the security forces and the demonstrators sparked after the group attempted to enter the U.S. embassy building.
Yemen security forces used tear gas and fired bullets into the air in order to disperse protestors and the staff of the embassy were taken to safer places.
"Innocence of Muslims", a two-hour movie produced and directed by Sam Bacile, a U.S. citizen of Israeli descent, sparked angry assaults by ultra-conservative Muslims on U.S. missions in Egypt and Libya as it attacks Islam's Holy Prophet Muhammad. The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three American members of his staff were killed in an attack on U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.
