Preparations for Palestinian general elections started on Monday.
Head of the Palestine Central Election Commission, Hana Nasr told a press conference that voters were started to be registered in Gaza and West Bank and registration would continue all week long.
Saying that there were a total of 1,565,832 registered voters in Gaza and West Bank, Nasr added the preparations would be concluded in two months.
Hamas and Al-Fatah Movement agreed on preparations to start in a meeting in Cairo on January 17.
The date of the general elections was not announced yet.
