Police officer killed in explosion outside train station in Moscow
Perpetrator of blast near traffic police vehicle outside Savyolovsky Station died at the scene, says Russia’s Interior Ministry
WASHINGTON
A traffic police officer was killed early Tuesday after an explosion outside a railway station in Moscow, said Russia's Interior Ministry.
An unknown person detonated an explosive device near a traffic police vehicle outside Savyolovsky Station, according to the ministry.
"During an inspection of the scene in the square near Savyolovsky Station and a review of CCTV footage, police officers determined that the perpetrator died at the scene," the ministry was quoted as saying by the Russian news agency Tass.
Two other traffic police officers were wounded.
