RAMALLAH

Scores of Palestinians on Monday attended a torch-lit march in Ramallah to mark the passage of ten years since the death of late leader Yasser Arafat.

The march, which was organized by Palestinian faction Fatah, set out from central Ramallah to Arafat's tomb at the Palestinian Authority headquarters.

PA President Mahmoud Abbas said on Sunday during the inauguration of the Yasser Arafat Museum in the occupied West Bank that Arafat's tombstone would be moved to East Jerusalem, which Palestinians want as the capital of their would-be state.

Palestinians have started to mark Arafat's 10th death anniversary since November 5.

He died on November 11, 2004 at a French hospital after he was besieged inside the leadership headquarters in Ramallah for several months by Israel.
