JERUSALEM
One person was killed and another injured in a bomb explosion targeting a car in southern Israel late Tuesday.
"One person killed in Ashdod explosion this evening," Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld wrote on Twitter.
He said that the motives behind the blast were "criminal".
Israeli forces sealed off the scene of the blast and searched for other explosives in the area, according to Israeli Channel Two.
