JEDDAH (AA) - September 5, 2012 - The Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will send a delegation to Myanmar to observe violence and human rights violations against Rohingya Muslims.
In a statement released on Wednesday, OIC stated that a committee from the organization would come together with officials of Myanmar government in the capital of Napyidaw.
The delegation will also visit Muthidaung, Maungdaw and Sittwe, Arakan State where Rohingya Muslims have been suffering from ethnic cleansing and religious violence.
Following the visit, the committee will prepare a report.
The statement also said, OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu would travel to the region later on in September.
