Obama nominates Jack Lew for Treasury Secretary

WASHINGTON

U.S. President Barack Obama officially nominated Jack Lew for the position of Treasury Secretary.
Lew will replace Timothy Geithner if his nomination gets approved by the U.S. Senate.
Speaking at a press conference with Geithner and Lew, President Obama stated that "there was no one better to replace Tim other than Jack Lew."
I trust Lew's decisions and his friendship, Obama stated.
Jacob Joseph "Jack" Lew (born August 29, 1955) is the 25th and current White House Chief of Staff. Lew previously served as Director of the Office of Management and Budget in the Clinton and Obama Administrations, and is a member of the Democratic Party.
