Croatian international player Luka Modric is the third most valuable player in the upcoming 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
Luka Modric, who plays for the Croatian national football team and Spain's Real Madrid, has a current transfer value of 35,000,000 euros, making him the third most expensive player in the World Cup after Portuguese attacker Cristiano Ronaldo whose value is 100,000,000 euros and French star Franck Ribery, a winger playing for Germany's Bayern Munich, valued at 42,000,000 euros.
Modric is followed by French scorer Karim Benzema from Real Madrid worth 34,000,000 euros. Portuguese midfielder Joao Moutinho from France's Monaco tied for fifth place with Sweden's attacker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who plays for Paris Saint Germain of France, with a value of 30,000,000 euros.
Among European players, the most expensive in the World Cup finals are French (385,000,000 euros), Portuguese (319,200,000), Croatian (178,000,000), Ukrainian (120,400,000) and Swedish (111,250,000).
Players from eight countries of the Eurozone playoff will make a total value of over one billion euros.
