KIRKUK
By Marwan Al-Ani
Unidentified militants have attacked an oil pipeline in Iraq's northern Kirkuk province.
"Militants planted an explosive charge beneath the pipeline," Zeyad al-Obeidi of the Kirkuk oil company told Anadolu Agency.
The explosion had caused a fire in the pipeline.
Al-Obeidi, however, said the bombing would not affect oil flow from the pipeline to the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
Some 325,000 oil barrels are being pumped into Turkey by the Kirkuk oil company every day.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
