A boat suspected to have been carrying around 70 Indonesian immigrants has sunk off the western coast of Malaysia, leaving at least 14 people dead.
The Star online reported the head of the country's maritime search and rescue operations as saying Thursday that bodies would be brought to Teluk Intan Hospital for a post mortem.
Capt. Robert Teh Geok Chuan added that 20 people rescued by local fishermen would be questioned at the Hutan Melintang police station in Selangor.
The boat went down in the Malacca Straits, between Indonesia and Malaysia.
China added that the immigrants were trying to return to Indonesia from the Hutan Melintang jetty.
Reports have said that at least 70 people were on board the vessel.
