Migrant boat sinks off Italian coast, 14 dead
Italian navy confirms that 200 people were rescued from the capsized boat.

ROME
At least 14 people died after a boat carrying hundreds of migrants sank in waters between Libya and Italy on Monday, Italian navy said.
Some 200 have been saved from the capsized boat, which sank near the Italian island of Lampedusa.
In late 2013, hundreds of illegal migrants drowned to death when two boats carrying them sank off the coast of Lampedusa.
Instability in Africa and the Middle East has seen many migrants attempting to enter Europe by using Lampedusa as an entry point.
