Spokesman of Libya Interior Ministry Mejdi al-Arfi has stated the heavy weaponry which Libyan citizens around the country currently have, pose as an obstacle to the country's security.
Speaking to AA at a commencement ceremony of Libyan police officers who received training in Turkey, al-Arfi stated that the public's weaponry endangered the security of society.
He noted that the armament was illegal that is why they hold works to purchase armaments of revolutionists.
About the training of Libyan police officers in Turkey, he said, "This is the first step to build the dream country of Libyans. People prefer to see police officers on duty in the streets, not soldiers."
He made clear that 2,000 revolutionists in Libya receive training to get appointed in security services and they will be graduating as police officers.
He also said they received 27,500 people who wish to become a police officer.
