Lebanese President Michel Sulayman condemned on Thursday the rockets fired from Lebanese territory towards Israel, saying it was a violation of United Nations (UN) resolution no. 1701.
Sulayman in a written statement said that the perpetrators of the attack, which was considered as the violation of the sovereignity of the country, should be found and judged.
To end the Israeli-Lebanese crisis, UN Security Council's resolution no. 1701, accepted on August 11, 2006, envisages a complete control of Lebanon by Lebanese government and not to possess weapons without the ratification of the Lebanese officials.
Lebanese security sources had earlier said that 3 rockets were fired on Israel's al-Jalil al-Gharbi region.
