Newly unsealed documents related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein reveal correspondence with several prominent Lithuanian figures, local media reported on Monday.

The records include emails and financial transactions involving Lithuanian businessman Valdas Petreikis, model Dite Antanaityte, and violinist Justina Auskelyte, public broadcaster LRT reported.

According to Lithuanian news outlet 15min, Petreikis was introduced to Epstein by his wife, Simona.

An email dated 2017 shows Simona wrote to Epstein, saying her husband had organized events in Lithuania for seven years and wanted to elevate the projects, asking whether Epstein would consider investing.

She also wrote that her friendship with Epstein was important to her and that his financial support for her studies and career had changed her life, according to the report.

Separately, documents dated 2017 show that a foundation operating in the US Virgin Islands and linked to Epstein transferred €75,000 ($88,900) to a Vilnius-based company, Fors projektai. Lithuania’s business registry lists Petreikis as the company’s sole shareholder at the time.

Records also indicate that Baleto Teatras (Ballet Theatre), headed by Petreikis, received $18,000 in April 2018 and $10,000 in September 2018.

Speaking to Lithuanian media, Petreikis said he had known Epstein for many years and described their relationship as “social and professional,” adding that he was unaware of Epstein’s criminal activities at the time.

Meanwhile, emails between Epstein and Antanaityte in 2010 show that the model attempted to introduce him to Lithuanian fashion designer Juozas Statkevicius.

The documents also revealed that violinist Auskelyte met Epstein in person, received money from him that she used to pay loan installments on her family’s apartment, and at least once reportedly asked for cash to avoid paying taxes.

Separately, photographs of Lithuanian women were sent to Epstein’s email account, according to the files. Messages dated August 2010 discussed the women’s appearances, though the identity of the sender remains unclear, the news outlet 15min reported.

The US Justice Department recently released more than 3 million pages, 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images related to Epstein under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law by US President Donald Trump last November.

The materials include photographs, grand jury transcripts, and investigative records, though many pages remain heavily redacted.

Epstein was found dead by suicide in a New York City jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges involving underage girls.
