RIYADH
US Secretary of State John Kerry left Riyadh late Sunday after a several-hour visit to the kingdom.
Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz met earlier this evening with Kerry.
They discussed the latest developments regarding the Palestinian cause as well as regional and international developments, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Kerry arrived in Riyadh earlier today coming from Jordan as part of a multi-leg tour.
Israel Radio said earlier that the top US diplomat plans to return to Israel and Ramallah for talks with Israeli and Palestinian leaders.
The broadcast considered Kerry's visits to both Jordan and Saudi Arabia as an indication to his success in reaching a "formidable vision" for the Middle East peace process.
Kerry visited Israel and Palestinian territories on Thursday in a new push for peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
