Beirut (AA) - Head of the Lebanese 'Future Movement' Fouad Siniora urged Hezbollah on Friday to withdraw its militants from Syria.
A statement released by Siniora's press office on Friday argued that "Hezbollah turned into an instrument of Assad regime killing its own people," saying "We demand Hezbollah to withdraw its militants from Syria, enable the Lebanese in Beqaa Valley and in the south of the country to return to their homes and thus give up fuelling the fire of unrest in the region."
"The current situation is tragic. Because we witness Hezbollah intervening in the Syrian civil war to back the regime in killing its own people," added the statement.
The statement also stressed that Lebanese forces must be deployed on the eastern and northern border regions of the country and prevent the weapon flow into Lebanon, claiming that Hezbollah became a part of the Iranian military system.
