LEFKOSA (AA) - First woman Turkish Cypriot Prime Minister Sibel Siber stated National Unity Party (UBP) in Turkish Republic of northern Cyprus (TRNC) fell due to a motion of censure.
Having been elected for a temporary period after UBP government fell, Siber told AA in an exclusive interview that early elections would take place on July 28, stating Turkey and the TRNC had strong historical and cultural relations, in which no decline happened in bilateral relations.
She noted they would get success in implementing "transparent politics, which would be based on equal principle for each citizen".
"Turkey and the TRNC have strong historical and cultural relations besides Turkey's being the only country who recognizes TRNC. No decline did or can happen in their bilateral relations," Siber said, emphasizing strong relations of the two countries would continue as in the past and the opposite could not be considered.
Siber underlined also that she believed Republican Turkish Party-United Forces (CTP-BG) would come strongly out of the elections, which will take place on July 28.
