ANKARA (AA) – German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said, Turkish government should recognize pluralism and citizenship rights.
Westerwell said, “Protests showed the formation of a civil society in an increasing way”, according to the statement released by Germany’s embassy in Ankara.
Westerwelle added, “Turkish government can and has to prove that it takes modernization seriously. Economic dynamism is not enough for Turkey's success and modernism. In addition to that, it should recognize pluralism and citizenship rights.”
